Physical well-being is an important component of emotional health, and for nearly two decades, Registered Nurse and Certified Personal Trainer Tracy Teipen has been devoted to helping people live healthier lives by promoting wholeness and strength in body, mind, and spirit.
Tracy earned a B.S. in Nursing from Indiana University in 1998 and became a Pediatric nurse at Methodist Hospital. She also served as a preceptor for the IU School of Nursing Capstone Program, and helped people with eating disorders by leading a support group through ANAD, the National Association of Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders. Tracy became part of the IU Health Pharmacy Team at University Hospital in 2007, working with an interdisciplinary team to provide medication reconciliation and education to acute and chronically ill patients.
In 2012, she decided to focus her career on fitness, becoming a Certified Personal Trainer with a focus on weight management. She has helped people implement fitness plans, and provided instruction in nutrition and weight loss to help individual clients address their needs and meet their goals. In addition to her own practice, Tracy joined the staff at Hendricks Regional Health YMCA as a personal trainer, small group training leader, and a healthy heart ambassador. She volunteers with several organizations including Hope Healthcare Services, Mentor Connect, and with the Hendricks County Medical Reserve Corps.
Tracy, her husband, and their four children reside in Avon.
